Ventilation and CoolingMulti Fan design and supply industrial ventilation systems for use in the following applications:
Our evaporative cooling systems are a natural and cost effective solution to high temperatures in the work place, providing large volumes of cooled air for spot cooling or general ventilation. Ambient Ventilation The removal of stale (and often very warm) air can promote fresher, healthier conditions in production areas. The installation of simple roof extraction fans for example, will reduce temperatures and induce incoming fresh air. Preferably, incoming air will be fan assisted and filtered, providing a fully balanced and controlled system. Incoming air can be distributed through a ducted system of discharge grilles, or more simply introduced through porous fabric media eg discharge socks. Evaporative Cooling For minimal extra cost, cooling can be introduced into general ventilation projects with the use of evaporative cooling units. These units are ideal for the provision of operator “comfort” and “spot” cooling. Multi Fan supply an extensive range of Metmann coolers and accessories ranging in size from 2,500 m3/hr to 63,000 m3/hr. Units can be supplied with bodies in stainless steel or polyamide. Evaporative cooling uses the principle of adiabatic cooling to provide cool air, (typically 5 or 6 degrees below ambient temperatures), at relatively low cost compared to air conditioning. Operating and maintenance costs are also significantly lower than comparable air conditioning plant. As with general ventilation, the incoming air cooled can be distributed through a ducted system of discharge grilles, or more simply introduced through porous fabric media eg discharge socks. Machine Ventilation Machine ventilation can be used to capture and re-distribute what would otherwise be waste heat – eg the output from compressor cooling fans can be ducted into areas where this heat serves a useful purpose – so reducing overall factory fuel costs. Machine ventilation is used to cool the oven opposite. Axial fans are used as air movers. Twin exhaust stacks centrally located, remove hot air from the inside of the oven. Cool make-up air is ducted into both ends of the oven from atmosphere. This forced cooling provides quicker and safer access for regular maintenance. Ductwork |
