Multi Fan are the sole representatives of Brofind S.p.a. who specialise in the supply and installation of Solvent Recovery Systems:
Brofind’s Solvent Recovery Systems use activated carbon to adsorb the Solvents,(or Volatile Organic Compounds), from the process exhaust stream and either steam or nitrogen to strip them from the carbon. The valuable solvents can then be recovered by simple decantation or distillation for reuse in the process. This has potentially huge cost benefits over other control methods that only destroy the VOC.

Brofind have installed solvent recovery systems across a wide range of industrial manufacturing processes.
Applications could include many different processes such as:

• Gravure printing
• Chemical and Pharmaceutical
• Food manufacturing
• Coating of a variety of substrates
• Degreasing
• Adhesive tapes
• Film and fibre
• Semiconductor and electronics

Carbon adsorption is also an alternative, cost effective treatment system for other more difficult and complex VOC/HAP emissions such halogenated compounds. If treated by a conventional thermal destruction process these solvents would produce secondary pollutants such as HCl, HF etc. which would require a further stage of treatment before venting to atmosphere.

Brofind solvent recovery systems cover a wide range of duties to meet the requirements of most industrial processes i.e. airflows from1.000 Nm3/h to 500.000 Nm3/h with a wide range of solvents and solvent concentrations. Brofind can also design the system for difficult locations and with particular space limitations.

Brofind are also able to offer modifications and performance improvements for existing installations which could include, carbon sieving and replacement, steam economizer for reduction in steam consumption, condensate stripping, waste water biological treatment, integrated emissions analysis systems, etc.
