Multi-stage Blowers and Exhausters

Multi Fan are authorised UK agents for Continental Blowers & Exhausters.
Blower performances range from 100 m3/hr at 0.3 bar g to 50,000 m3/hr at 1.2 bar g.
Exhauster performances range from 100 m3/hr at 5" Hg to 50,000 m3/hr at 16" Hg. The units deliver dry, clean and non pulsing air.

With more than 30 years of experience in research, development and manufacture of centrifugal machines, Continental Industrie blowers and exhausters are renowned for their continuous duty reliability, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Their extremely simple design guarantees maximum reliability - necessary for industries in which production depends on the distribution of clean and dry air at a constant pressure. Cast aluminium parts, precision machining to fine tolerances, absence of mechanical and wearing parts in contact enable the machines to operate smoothly, practically without vibration, and with a very low sound level - so meeting European and American standards.

Applications

Although units find applications in many industrial processes, Multi Fan’s particular expertise finds use for them in 2 main areas:

• Pneumatic Conveying

The durability and reliability of multi stage machines make them ideal for this application. In particular, vacuum conveying systems are less sensitive to the possible passage of dust & debris through the machine. In the event of this occurrence, potential damage to the exhauster is much less likely than it would be with other machines, eg positive displacement Roots type machines.

• Centralised Vacuum Cleaning

Again, the simple design and mechanical reliability of centrifugal multi-stage exhausters make them ideal for this application.

Multi stage machine characteristics (ie variable airflow at constant vacuum) allow the machines to run with a stable flow no matter how many active operators there are.

With energy drawn being proportional to the airflow through the machine, energy consumption is therefore proportional to the number of inlet nozzles actually being used. This operating characteristic generates important energy savings – the fewer points open, the less power is drawn by the machine.
