Fume Extraction Arms


The use of flexible extraction arms is an extremely effective way or capturing pollutants (eg dusts or fumes) at source and protecting operator breathing zones.

A wide variety of arms and fans are available, enough to suit all extraction requirements. Arms can be supplied in lengths from 1.5 metres up to 9 metres. Diameters from 100 mm to 200 mm are available, along with rigid sections, stainless steel components and ATEX certification.

Easy positioning is achieved with the use of horizontal joint roller bearings. A unique spring controlled lock is used to hold the arm in a stay put position.

Arms can be supplied with integral or stand alone extraction fans – matched to suit the particular requirements of the system.

A small mobile unit containing an internal cartridge filter (see bottom left image) is also available for filtering welding dust and fume. The unit has a 240v single phase 0.75 kW motor and can be fitted with either a 2 metre or a 3 metre long arm. An activated carbon filter can be included within this unit if required.
